At EventMy, we understand that privacy is important. That's why we aim to give you as much control as possible over how much of your personal profile, group profile, and events you want visible to the public or kept private. When we ask for your personal information, it's to improve the service we offer you.
Anyone is welcome to use EventMy without an account, and have access to event discovery and other public content. Signing up allows users greater access to features on the site: creating groups and events, joining groups, following users and groups, and tracking events in your personal calendar.
All users and groups have a public profile that is accessible by visiting your personal address (eventmy.com/username or eventmy.com/groups/group-name). Publicly accessible information here includes: username or group name, public events, status or short description, town and state. Additional information is available when users and groups are set to 'public', or when a user is a member of a group. This information includes: interests, groups, website, group members, and posts. Groups and users with public profiles are also accessible in the index for that profile type (eventmy.com/people, eventmy.com/groups). Private events created in groups are only accessible to members of that group.
Section 512(c) of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act removes liability for copyright infringement from websites that allow users to post content, as long as the site has a mechanism in place whereby the copyright owner can request the removal of infringing content. The site must also not receive a financial benefit directly attributable to the infringing activity.
EventMy does not discose your private personal information to third parties. We may use public content (i.e. profiles and events) you create for marketing purposes. You may request the deletion of content you have created by emailing us: email@example.com. This applies also to requesting the removal of copyrighted material.
Do not post copyrighted, defamatory, threatening or indecent content on EventMy. Groups and events are responsible for moderating content posted by users.
EventMy reserves the right to ban users for any reason. Impersonating a person or group is forbidden and will result in banning from EventMy. You are free - and encouraged to - share events that you are interested in going to and not the organizer for.
