Home School Pottery & Clay
Home School pottery classes designed specifically for homeschool artists ages 5-12, provide a wonderful opportunity for children to explore craft, learn a variety of techniques and make new friends.
In this comprehensive course in hand-building skills, students will learn age-appropriate techniques in clay to create functional forms, such as mugs or other vessels, as well as sculptural objects and to decorate and glaze their finished pieces. Students will be encouraged in directed projects as well as in exploring their own ideas. All Supplies are included.
Home School pottery classes meet Fridays from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
$40 per child for museum members / $50 per child for non-members (Includes 5 classes)
Full payment is required at time of registration.
Each class is limited to 12 students—a minimum of 6 students is required.
About the Instructor: Elisa Karas
Elisa Karas is a Cape Cod artist working in mixed media. An enthusiastic educator and artist with extensive teaching experience she wishes to share her passion for the arts, encourage, inspire and introduce students to creative expression as an outlet and positive impact in their lives. She studied at St. Martin’s school of Art & Design in London, England and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at the University of Mass in Amherst, continuing studio painting at the Museum School in Boston.
