Computer Based Training Interpreter Scheduling
Completed forms, including handwritten signatures for both Applicant and Authorized Signatory, must be emailed to no less than 48 business hours in advance.
A confirmation email will be sent to the Authorized Signatory (AS) once the approval process is completed. Incomplete forms will be returned.
The Interpreter may only translate the training information provided in each module, test question, and multiple-choice answer but may not select or indicate the correct answer to the applicant.
Indicating the correct answers to test questions will be considered cheating and will result in failure of the badge applicant, and the interpreter will be prohibited from providing future assistance to applicants. Both parties may receive a security violation resulting in penalties and/or revocation or denial of the badge.
Applicants requiring an interpreter must adhere to the following procedures:
Interpreter must be a SIDA badge holder.
Applicants for a badge must have photo identification with them at all times.
First time applicants must clear all security checks before scheduling the Computer Based Training (CBT).
The applicant must sit at the computer station during the entire training session. The interpreter must wear the headset, and verbally translate each portion of the video training to the applicant.
The interpreter must translate the questions and multiple choice answers during the knowledge check, while the applicant must select the answer.
Interpretation will only be permitted on the dedicated workstation located in the Security Badge Office.
Applicant and Interpreter must check in at Position 5 prior to their scheduled appointment.
