Palestine / Israel 101 eight week workshop, Fall 2019

Register for an 8-session Monday evening (6:30 - 9:00pm) workshop, hosted by Jewish Voice for Peace Bay Area

Workshop will be held in an accessible venue near Downtown Berkeley BART.  No meeting on Nov 11

Are you upset and angry with the Trump presidency and the worldwide rise of nationalist populism?  Deeply disturbed that Netanyahu has a best friend in the White House who has moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem? Are you seeing uncomfortable parallels between settlement expansion in the West Bank and the dispossession of native peoples here at home?

Do you want to become a more effective advocate for justice, equality and peace in Palestine/Israel, but feel you lack knowledge on the subject?  This course is designed to give what you need. It is not intended for those who already have an extensive background on the issue.

Topics include antisemitism and Zionism, the Nakba, current conditions in Palestine, U.S. role in the "peace process", and Palestinian resistance. For additional background reading we recommend the book "Ten Myths About Israel" by Ilan Pappe.

If you are unable to afford the class fee at this time please email:    to register.  No one will be turned away for lack of funds.  If you prefer to pay by check or if you cannot afford any fee please use this alternative registration form:
