June 2019 Outdoor Walking Series
What if there’s more to walking than just raising your heart rate? (Hint: there is!)
What if walking could help prevent hip fractures AND incontinence from occurring? (Hint: it can!)
What if who you walk with, where you walk, what you walk on could increase the benefits you receive from walking? (Hint: it does!)
Come spend three Saturday mornings in June, from 9:00 - 10:30 am, rain or shine, walking outside on unpaved trails, diagnosing your gait, learning what's missing from how you move and how you could benefit more from this seemingly simple activity. Plus, get a little Vitamin Nature and Vitmain Community along the way.
NOTE: This is a series, not three individual events. You are registering to attend all three Saturdays. DIfferent information will be shared at each one, buidling upon the previous Saturday's work. If you know you cannot attend all three, please do not take a spot from someone who can.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Entrance is off Bush Lake Road. There is ample parking, but plan to arrive early so you can park, and find the group near teh entrance of the visitor's center. We will start on time.
What can I bring into the event?
Wear comfortable shoes you are used to walking in. Preferably flexible, not stiff shoes. If you usually bring water or use sunscreen or bugspray or wear a hat, by all means bring what you need. THis is a 90-minute, gentle oudoor adventure. Dress for the weather. We will walk in the rain.
