ACOE Speakers Seminar: School and Family Partnerships: A Focused Conversation on the Family as a Critical Factor for Student Success

ACOE invites you to join Drs. María S. Quezada, Ph.D. and Lettie Ramirez, for informative session.  Dr. Quezada was instrumental in the elaboration of a research-based family engagement leadership development model (Project 2INSPIRE) that focuses on working with the entire school community and is geared specifically for diverse background families. She served as the project director (2013-2018) for the USDE Investing in Innovation (i3) development grant that funded research on a family engagement.


Dr. Ramirez taught K-12 bilingual and special education. Later moving to CSU East Bay, where she has taught teachers and obtain grants to support teachers for 25 years. Dr. Ramirez is Professor in the Department of Teacher Education, Currently she is Assistant to VP and Provost.  Her latest book You Are Not Alone: Recipes to Obtain Success by Parents for Parents won the International Latino Book Award. This book is in English and Spanish, and all proceedings go to support parents education.
