Minneapolis Benchmarking Data Jam Training

Benchmarking training for commercial and multi-family property owners, managers, and operators.

At this free, half-day ‘data jam’ training session, you will learn about the policy requirements and benchmark your building(s) with the help of benchmarking technical assistants. By the end of the session, your properties will be set up in the free, online benchmarking tool, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, and your gas and electric utility data will automatically upload into your account. You will be compliance-ready.

The City of Minneapolis recently extended its existing commercial benchmarking ordinance to cover multifamily buildings 50,000 square feet and greater. Property owners and managers of these buildings will be required to track and report their annual energy and water performance to the City on a multi-year phase-in schedule.  Buildings 100,000 square feet and greater must report by June. 1, 2019, and buildings 50,000-99,999 square feet will report in 2020.
