Fashion with Compassion 2019

Join us for the 2019 Fashion with Compassion, a remarkable charity fashion show organized entirely by students from the Jewish Community High School of the Bay to benefit IsraAID, which provides life-saving emergency relief and durable solutions for populations affected by natural disasters, epidemics, and post-conflict situations. This year JCHS will be hosting Fashion with Compassion on Sunday, March 17, 2019!

Fashion with Compassion is a national organization that was founded in 2008 by two sophomores who wanted to raise funds for a small city in Israel that was under attack. Created by students in Los Angeles for students, Fashion with Compassion empowers its members to believe in themselves, and to take responsibility over serving as agents of change. The JCHS Fashion with Compassion provides a unique platform to teach students about the professional world, build bridges between the school and the local community, and raise money for Israeli-based charities.

Last year, JCHS hosted its second Fashion with Compassion event and raised over $5,000 for charity. This year we are expecting an even bigger turn out! This year, the proceeds will be donated to IsraAID, an organization which works synonymously to a rapid response organization during humanitarian crises. Its medical teams, search parties, rescue units, post-trauma experts, community specialists, and other professionals have led international responses in natural disasters and civil strife around the world. After the initial emergency period, IsraAID shifts to long-term programs, all to accompany communities and governments as they strive to build a better tomorrow. As of 2018, IsraAID has responded to crises in 46 countries including Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the Sonoma and Napa fires in California and has ongoing programs in 17 countries.

You are not just coming to a fun, fashion-forward event, you'll be a part of empowering today's student leaders while raising funds for an important cause.
