Hult Prize @ BU - Grand Finale Pitches


Get an inside view of student ideas that are developing the most compelling solution for the Hult Prize 2019 Challenge addressing youth unemployment. One team will earn a spot at one of the 25+ Regional Finals taking place all over the world, and the chance to pitch for the grand prize of $1 million USD at the United Nations HQ.

2019 Theme:

The challenge for each team involved in the 10th anniversary Hult Prize will be to build the foundations of a venture that will provide meaningful work for 10,000 youth within the next decade.

Agenda for Monday, December 10th:

  • 5:30 - 6.00pm - Check-in at the BUild Lab

  • 6:00 - 6:15pm - Event Begins, Introductions

  • 6:15 - 7:30pm - Presentations by 5-6 teams (early/idea stage)

    • Teams have 6 minutes to present

    • Judges have 4 minutes for Q&A (Rubric attached)

  • 7:30 - 7:45pm - Break, Acknowledgements, while Judges deliberate

  • 7:45 - 8:00pm - Judges Feedback, Winner Announcement.

Refreshments will be served.

Starting this year,  BU joins a global network of college and university campuses in over 100 countries committed to mobilize students to rethink the future of business and innovation. Held in partnership with the Clinton Initiative and the United Nations, the Hult Prize is the biggest and most prestigious student startup event in the world.
