Friendsgiving Dinner with Tortuga
No Thanksgiving plans. No problem!
Join Tortuga for an out-of-shell dining experience at Manny’s on Thanksgiving day. We are bringing together hungry souls and empty stomachs to create connections with your community over a sprawling feast. Chef Larry Feygin (formerly of Alinea and Lazy Bear) and his team are creating a bountiful family-style spread inspired by Thanksgiving classics with a Tortuga twist. Dishes will feature the flavors of Israel, Iran, and North Africa and incorporate pickles, ferments, and preserves from Chef Ellis Anderson’s larder.
Dinner will take place at Manny’s, a new venue for civic engagement in the heart of the Mission. Like Manny’s, Tortuga strives to create a space where our guests can be themselves and share meaningful dialogue around relevant topics (to be announced soon!). In a city where exacerbated tensions reveal themselves all too easily, it is essential to engage with both friends and strangers who share and oppose the opinions we hold.
